Monotonix and Call Me Lightning – RockitBomb episode 10

Trying to make up for lost time – a double header interview with live tracks from Monotonix and Call Me Lightning. I was fortunate to see these two great bands at the Melody in on September 22nd. Brian Allen and Tony Beemer of Thunders join me for the interview.

The show was great, and the live tracks came out okay, take a listen. If you get a chance to see either band please do. I was not expecting to go to this show, hence the delay in getting the episode out, but technical problems with last week’s show and some scheduling problems with this week get you an awesome double header.

Enjoy.

I shot some video, but it was terrible, so I will use someone else’s:

INNERPARTYSYSTEM – Interview and live tracks.

I was fortunate enough to get to meet up with the guys from INNERPARTYSYSTEM Tuesday night before their set with Mindless Self Indulgence at the Murat Egyptian Room in Indianapolis. Take a listen below to find out more about the band and enjoy three live tracks from their set.

The band characterizes their sound as a mix between Nine Inch Nails and The Killers, and I would say that not only is that a good comparison, but they do that in a way that produces extremely catchy and interesting songs that could all be great singles.

The band’s new record will drop September 30th, but if you can’t wait for that, you should grab their “Download EP.” from your store of choice. I picked it up at the show and have been rocking it all day today.

It is nice getting back into the habit of doing the show, and this is an interview with a musician and former Catharsis and the Humdrum front man, Kevin Thornton, who is very definitely not this guy. I was fortunate to be joined by the rest of the members of Catharsis and the Humdrum for the interview, Matt Miller, and Jonathan Newby, who as the former frontman of Brazil, has been interviewed a couple of times himself.

Take a listen, I think you will like, and remember WoW doesn’t always stand for World of Warcraft.

Also, it looks like we will be getting an interview and a couple of live tracks from INNERPARTYSYSTEM next week, and I am pretty stoked about that.
