The Beasts of Eden Interview

beasts

This week we have Chris V. on the show from New York’s Beasts of Eden, an awesome rock quartet that brings to mind No Knife*, The Beatles, and general awesomeness. On the show we have three tracks from their 2007 EP and some great conversation about influences and their trip last year to Cabo with a bunch of playboy bunnies.

Keep an eye out for a new record from them this year, and thanks to Kellie for the introduction.

*I seem to be developing a habit of comparing bands to No Knife on the show.

Finding Fiction – Interview & Three Tracks

Brooklyn’s Finding Fiction are great and sound like a mashup of every guitar rock band I love and awesome. I was able to get on the phone with Mario Saturday and talk about writing music, geeking out over Apple tech, and rocking. These guys will be playing in my home town of Indianapolis this coming weekend – Sunday, February 15th at the Melody Inn, prefaced by a free in store at Luna Music during the day.

If you like what you hear, come out and rock with these guys this weekend, and be sure to leave some love in the comments.

Plushgun Interview – Rockitbomb Episode 9

In this weeks episode of RockitBomb, Brian speaks with Daniel Ingala of Plushgun. Based in Brooklyn, Plushgun is currently finishing up a full length record to be released in January of 2009.

The project is pretty much just Daniel, although he tours with two other members. That doesn’t stop him from recording what I can only describe as incredibly heartfelt mini epics in each song.

Equal parts quirk, introspection, and rock, Plushgun is recommended for fans of Ben Gibbard’s The Postal Service, although Dan states tha he relates more to Atom and His Package.

Check out the episode to hear the single, “Just Impolite,” download the track, become mySpace friends, and watch the YouTube videos below. “Dancing In A Minefield“ is particularly worth a watch.

You can also order the new EP here.
