It has begun. In response to the “Stop Online Piracy Act,” many sites are raising their voice today, and as of 1:30AM EST, the two biggest I’ve seen are Google and Wikipedia.

Google’s Call to Action

Back in June, the interactive marketing agency I work for (Raidious) received a call from Inc.com’s J.J. McCorvey.  J.J. requested an interview with us about our use of Google Apps for business, and we were flattered.

Check out the article. I was glad to have the opportunity to geek out about such a great suite of tools. Thanks to Taulbee Jackson for being on the call with me, and for being a good sport when a couple of his statements were attributed to me.

Today I share a most overdue post – the second and final episode of the RockitBomb.TV pilot project. I am happy to post an interview and set opener from Russian Circles, an amazing band that I have had the fortune to see multiple times, as well as the honor of sharing a bill with them via Thin Fevers.

For anyone who missed my previous post – this project was a collaboration that I embarked on last summer with A2 Industries. Unfortunately, due to my career change, and A2 busy bringing awesome to Indianapolis, the project has been indefinitely shelved.

We shot three pilot episodes, the first of which was an interview with Tim Barry, formerly of Avail. We got to sit down with Tim for an interview, the folks at NationalUnderground.org were kind enough to lend us some archival footage, and we got footage of Tim performing two great songs at Local’s Only in Indianapolis.

This week we have Kyle Knight, otherwise known as the Emotron on the show. We also have three brand new, never before heard songs from his upcoming record, “Vampire Lunch Lady Tits”. After touring in 2008 to Alaska with Mose Giganticus, The Emotron has just (and I mean just) finished this new record, due out this summer.

Known for all sorts of shenanigans on stage and off – The Emotron also delivers some great synth pop that is definitely for fans of Atom and His Package. Check out the show for yourself!

On this week’s episode I talk with Jeremy McKinnon of Florida’s A Day To Remember. For those not familiar, these guys writes quite possibly some of the catchiest hardcore songs I have heard in quite some time. Their new record “Homesick” is out on Victory Records (hence the 30 second samples) and is quite a finger pointer. A bit of a stretch from the usual guests, I couldn’t help but indulge my inner hardcore kid for one show.

The interview was a little choppy, as Marc was calling from a pay phone, but I think I was able to adjust enough so he can be understood.
